all new web site!!!!!!
July 29, 2008
Today marks the beginning of a new era....The "Mr Fairchild's New CD" era. You may not have heard of it, so I'll inform you. We have an all new CD with brand new songs mixed and remastered by yours truly. It took a while but it's finally here and we are oh, so happy with it. And what better way to promote new music than with a new website as well. Some of the links aren't working right now, but that will change shortly. There will be new songs added soon as well. The pictures and flyers are all being updated too. You can access the Myspace link, Forums link and play the tracks on the media player. If you registered on our last forums, you will have to register again. Sorry bout that, but we thought a fresh start would best suit our fresh web site and fresh, hot, wet, sexy CD. Register on the forums and tell us what you think or just B.S. with us. Thanks for visiting.

MR Fairchild will be playing the Backdoor Theatre for a CD release show on May 24th! It will be a great show. 21 and up may bring alcohol, although the disignated concession area is the only place you can drink. They will be selling drink set-ups. Before the show, during intermission and after the show are good times to get your drink on. Under 21 are welcome but will have wrist bands and obviously can't drink.
Please reserve tickets ASAP to make sure you get a seat! Call Backdoor Theatre at 322-5000 or go online at backdoortheatre.org to reserve your tickets!
See you there!

st. patty's day revisited
march 18, 2007
A huge thank you to everyone who showed up at the St. Patrick's Day show at The OffIce on Saturday. We had one of our best shows in a real long time and it was definately because of your support. We want to thank James Cook and are good friends in Carp for makeing it a really special night for all of us. If you didn't make it out we will definately be doing more shows with James and Carp in the real near future so be sure and check back for that. Once again thank you very much and we will commence working on our cd for the next month(Hopefully we're done by our next show).
Thanks,

st. patty's day...
February 21, 2007
Hello children of Fairchild we will be playing a rock show at The Office Saint Patrick's Day Sat. March 17th. Our good friends from Carp and James Cook will also be rocking the house with us. It should only cost $4.00 to get in so everyone come out and experience the awesome power of Mr Fairchild, I mean what else are you going to be doing that night( unless watching Johnny Cooper at the other bar in town is your idea of a good time)? So we'll see you there and we will have interesting suprises in store for the St. Patrick's day holiday( I for one intend to dye my beard green so you've got to come and see that).

Our beloved Cody has done a great job of keeping a small journal during the adventures of recording. Please take a few seconds to read some of it if you are interested in what the band's been up too.

a big thanks...
Thank you to everyone who attended our glorious show at the Office last Saturday. We had a hell of a good time and the turnout was great. We should be playing there again at the end of February. If you made it to the show and you actually post on this website please drop us a line and let us know what you thought about the show. A special thanks to Slabrat ( they are really good and hopefully we can do this with them again), Ronnie Moore(if you missed him rockin the cowbell then you missed one of greatest moments in Fairchild history) and Erik Walker from the great local band Carp(who helped us do justice to the great FUGAZI).

office show dec. 23rd...
december 5, 2006

We are playing with Slabrat, that's right Slabrat. This is their proper bar debut so they should be pumped to play. The band members are all extremly talented with Donovan Hickman on guitar and Jason Bias on drums so everyone will want to check this show out. We will also have a couple of special guests sitting in at verious times in the evening. This is supposed to be a celebration of Jina Fairchild's birthday as well so there's going to be alot going on. The show is at the Office on Galveston st. Slabrat will probably be kicking things off around 9:30.
And now... A short Christmas tale. A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away by Walmart, a baby boy was born. He got lots of presents by some old dudes. They were really weird presents for a baby. Frankensense and Myrr, whatever the hell that is. Plus, what the frick is a baby gonna do with stuff like that? Chew on it? That could kill a kid you know. These old guys weren't very thoughtful when it came to the safety of a newborn baby. So anyway, everyone was just sitting around looking at this baby trying to figure out what they were going to do that night. One of the old dudes suggested that they go out to the office on December 23rd, 2006 (because they could travel into the future) and listen to Mr Fairchild play some badass rock tunes. And the new born baby agreed by saying "Bwahauhehekgoo." (which is baby for "ok, lets do that.") And there was much rejoicing. Do you all know who that baby was? It was Jesus H. Christ. The end.

recording time...
november 28, 2006

Mr Fairchild has finally begun it's long awaited journey to recording kick ass music. Drum tracks have been laid down, however, the drummer has not been laid (so... anything you all could do about that would be good.) Just kidding...he's been laid like 3 times. Anyway, once everything has been recorded we will start the mixing and so on and so forth. Hopefully it will be a smooth process. We will keep you updated as to where and when the CD will be available. Until then...

cd update...
october 16, 2006

If you are keeping up with the main page of our website, you might have read about our new CD . I know many of you have ventured down to the local music stores asking the the poor clerks when the new MR FAIRCHILD CD is coming out. We won't be able to record in October like planned. Hopefully we'll get started in November or early December and maybe it will be ready for all the Fairchilians by January. Apparently, Rick Rubin (our producer)went on a sudden vacation claiming he has "exhaustion". Pansy! Doesn't he know who we are!!! Oh well, we should have even more kickass material to record by then. we'll keep you posted.

south by southwest...
october 11, 2006
We have officially registered for a spot in the 2007 South by Southwest event. Hopefully they will choose our ass kicking music over non-ass-kicking music. South by Southwest is a big even in Austin, Tx every year. They have hundreds of bands over 2 or 3 days, plus plenty of other entertainment. If you've never been... be sure to check it out.
You can also see the web site here: South By Southwest

welcome to mr. fairchild
september 8, 2006
A big thank you to everyone who came out to see us at the Iron Horse on Saturday the 18th of Sept. We had a great time and hope you all did too. We'd like to thank Queen for a Day for giving us the opprotunity to play with them.
Some of you may have noticed a goofy looking guy walking around with a video camera on Saturday. As soon as I get some spare time, I'll be putting some of that footage in the media section on this site. Be sure to check back in the near future for that as well as an update on the new CD which we will start recording very soon. Thanks again to everyone for their support and we hope to see you at the next show.
